Exactly one week ago, the Stony Brook School of Journalism covered election night in real-time. Students who concentrate on print, online and broadcast journalism were on hand to provide 1000 viewers insight into the election results. Three student anchors worked throughout the night alongside many other students streaming live and constantly updating http://www.sbvotes.com/.
The website is still live with their coverage and reporting of election night, with a lot of attention on how the campus reacted to the news that President Obama was elected to a second term. Their “Stony Brook Says” tab shows a Twitter feed of how our community took the news. The School of Journalism is one of the best in the country, and this is just another example of why that is.
