The ING New York City Marathon was cancelled as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Marathon runners from around the world gather for this event, and those that were in the metropolitan area were devastated after training for months for this event. These men and women used their time creatively, not letting their hard work be in vain.
Kenneth Ho, a graduate student, was supposed to run in the marathon. He was upset that he could not make it to NYC to lend a helping hand, leaving him with a lot of free time. As a result, he made his own 26.2 mile course, about nine laps around Circle Road. Go Kenneth!
