#117: Life Sciences Greenhouse

Educating the community!

Michael A. is a Biology Operations Staff member who thinks “The Life Sciences Greenhouse is Awesome!  The research and teaching facility comprises a quarter acre under glass greenhouse and environmental plant growth chambers and is curated by Michael Axelrod and John Klumpp.  We provide the infrastructure for plant related research, permanent plant collections for educating our students and plant related tours for the university community and the community at large.  Come visit and check out the awesome plants including the Theobroma cacau (Chocolate plant), the Echinocactus grusonii (Golden Barrel Cactus) and the many other wonderful plants from over 65 families from different Biomes around the world.” Think Red, Be Green!
