#111: Free HIV Prevention and Testing on Campus

Did you know that today is World AIDS Day? The Center for Prevention and Outreach (CPO) has been doing outreach to make the campus community aware of two awesome FREE resources available to everyone on campus: HIV Testing and HIV prevention materials.  The Long Island Association for AIDS Care is supporting SBU campus testing – free, confidential, on campus and results in one appointment (call 866-236-3448 to make an appointment). CPO is also offering free HIV prevention materials through the New York State HIV Prevention Grant – speak with your RA, visit Commuter Student Services in SAC 224 or contact kathleen.valerio@stonybrook.edu for more information! Keeping yourself healthy is definitely awesome, and campus provides resources for you to do so!

Thank YOU Community of Awesome for your efforts supporting student health and HIV Prevention.

HIV testing available – FREE – CONFIDENTIAL – through our colleagues with LIAAC – Long Island Association for AIDS Care – and Project SafetyNet. Concerned? Have questions about HIV? To speak with a counselor – to schedule an HIV testing appointment (on or off campus – location will be advised when you book your appointment) call LIAAC’s Hotline @ 866-236-3448.
