#75: Heartfelt Thank-Yous

Nikki T., a history student, shared this great story with us: “Today while I was working at the Central Reading Room I helped a man who was having problems accessing one of our databases. It took us a few minutes to figure out the problem and then figure out a way to resolve it. Once we were finished he thanked me and started to walk away, but he stopped, took a few steps back towards the desk and said to me, “You are very kind.” It may not have meant a lot to him but to me it was really, really meaningful, and it was the highlight of my entire day. He didn’t have to do that, but the fact that he did was really special.” AWESOME!
