Sasha in Africa!
Sasha S., a bio major, thinks that “International Academic Programs at Stony Brook University are awesome! This summer I studied abroad in Tanzania, Africa. I took anthropology classes, visited and volunteered at clinics, orphanages and schools, and even got to learn Swahili. I also stayed over night in a Maasai village and camped in Serengeti national park with other students. I made great friends and learned new things about myself in the process. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. Everyone should go abroad at SBU!” Stony Brook offers short term (winter and summer session) and long term (semester or year) programs. Deadline for winter programs Italy, Jamaica, Australia is November 1 (tomorrow!) and there is still plenty of time to apply for Summer session and next year.
